Lost or Stolen Cards


Cardholders should contact the UNCG FirstCard Center immediately if their card is lost, stolen or damaged. If you have linked banking services to your FirstCard Plus, also contact Wachovia at 1-800-275-3862 to report your card lost or stolen.

E-Cash cannot be refunded for lost or stolen cards. Therefore, the UNCG FirstCard Plus should be treated as cash and kept in a secure place at all times. Students should not loan their cards to anyone. E-Cash may be recoverable on damaged cards.

If you have set up an E-Cash2 PIN protected account, your money may be recovered and put back on your FirstCard Plus. This process may take a few days due to transaction reports. Please stop back by the FirstCard Center after the allotted period of time to have E-Cash2 replaced.

Protecting your UNCG FirstCard Plus

  • Treat your card with care.

  • Don’t put stickers on your card.

  • Do not punch holes in your card.

  • Don’t expose your card to water or extreme heat.

  • Carry your UNCG FirstCard Plus in your wallet or in a protective card sleeve to keep the chip and magnetic stripe from becoming damaged.
